These kicks have a colorway based on the original colorway of the Air Max 1. . The Air Jordan 3 Tinker Hatfield Air Max 1 takes it up a notch with interchangable swooshes mounted via velcro.
Typical of the “Tinker 3s”, these feature a swoosh and Nike Air branding on the back These also feature no elephant print on the rand which is different for a 3. The kicks come with white, grey and red laces. Swoosh choices include white, red, grey, elephant and 3M. These also come with a Nike Air hangtag. The box features the Tinker Hatfield signature on the lid, and the shoes have it inside the tongue. Finally, these have NIKE stitched into the inner facing ankle area.
Red and white shoe equals they look good with pretty much anything you wear. Dark blue, black, light wash, grey or khaki denim with a grey, white or black top and you’re looking good. You can even add in a red or grey accent here and there to match up a little bit more, although this isn’t completely necessary for a clean fit.
How Are The Materials on the Air Jordan 3 Tinker?
The material quality is ok on the AJ3 Tinker. Air Jordan retros are not always synonymous with premium quality these days, but these seem to be of at least average craftsmanship from the brand.
While you won’t be blown away by the materials, they don’t disappoint either. The bulk of the shoe is a smooth leather with a slight tumble finish. The removable white swoosh actually seems more tumbled than the rest of the shoe. the red parts are suede and feature no elephant print as mentioned earlier. Suede quality is just above felt with a similar feel to the Air Max 1 that these draw inspiration from.
How Do The Air Jordan 3 Tinker Fit?
These Air Jordan 3 Tinker Hatfield x Air Max 1 fit true to size. The Air Jordan 3 is debatably among the comfier Jordan retro models.
The fit here basically reminds me of a standard Air Jordan 3 fit and is ok to wear for a few hours at a time before foot fatigue starts setting in.
People slept on these for the most part, but I think the main issue is the retail price. I copped below retail and so did many others, and I think these are worth it, especially considering all the extras.
